one month and a half flew by

hey! yeah time is passing by really fast! It`s been a great time here!
The highlights for this last few weeks were definetly the conference "God`s Heart for the Nations" here at Island Breeze, and last weekend at Fingal.
For this conference, Wilson Goeda came from South Africa to speak to us. Two more DTS`s came and joined us for the week. We had between 25 and 30 different nationalities represented here that week!! There was a team from Sunshine Coast (North from here). it`s a surfers DTS, and another team from Michelton / Brisbane (Beach2Bush DTS). It was an awesome time, not only for the conference itself but for the people i got to meet. I didn`t talk much to the guys from Sunny Coast, but as for the other guys, we had a great time; they stayed for one more week, so we could get to know them better. We`ll hopefully meet again one of the next weekends at their base.
Last weekend was even better!! Fingal is a wonderful place (1,5 hours away from here) right between a river and the beach. From the house we stayed at it was only a 2 minuts walk to this beautiful and almost desert beach. We went there for a wedding, so we got to go the beach in the morning before the wedding, in the afternoon right after the party, and Sunday. We stayed at the house of one of the relatives of the bride, they`re what we call here Aboriginals, they`re the native people of Australia. They had surfboards and kayaks all over the place! I couldn`t believe it, everywhere I looked there was a longboard or surfboard. So we borrowed some boards and kayaks and had a lot of fun. It was such a wierd feelling... I was always looking around for sharks! lol 'cause i felt that would be the kind of place where there would certainly be sharks..but anyway.."if God is for us..who can be agains us?.." lol but yeah..fortunatelly I saw no sharks.=p
The wedding was awesome! the Bride karren was aboriginal as I said, and the guy (the GROOM i guess =p) was Joseph, a nigerian guy. Joseph is the leader of the Walk'a'bout DTS and he`s awesome. For the wedding, me, the americans and the fijians wore "sulus", that's the fijian traditional cerimony suit (a skirt and a Bula shirt!) and it was awesome! I took some photos, i`ll show you guys later.
Today we had our first real rugby game here at the base!! It was really fun!
The usually play "touch" rugby, with no tackles, which is really boring, but today it was different! We had Fiji Vs. the World. I was playing for the world of course. I was the only european, then there was 1 american and the others were form New Zealand, Samoa & Tonga. Well this guys...they are like bulls! It was an awesome experience, and I want to do it more often. I`m starting to like rugby! Chase the guys and grab them til they fall, do the "scrum", tackle this big Fijian guys as they run into me.. well it was really cool. I got to make a good try! it was only one..but that`s a good start=) most of the guys had their t-shirts completely ripped off by the end of the game!=) I wore my black Benfica Shirt (1st place on the Portuguese Soccer Championship!ahaha sweeet) so i didn`t get it ripped off.
Well. I guess it`s all for now, I think we'll watch 3 or 4 movies in a row now!!=)
Give me some feedback please (serranobruno@gmail.com)
God bless you all!xxxxxx
